The accommodation of the participants must be organized individually. Housing for students is offered by different institutions that are connected with the University, but operate independently (the tuition fee does not cover living costs).
Since the demand on housing is high, it is important to start looking for accommodation in good time and to explore every possible avenue.
The University of Zurich has an office for international students which provides the necessary information and help.
For students under the age of 27 years there is an opportunity to apply for a room at the Alumni organization of the Faculty of Law.
Depending on their country of origin, international students will need a visa for their stay in Switzerland (www.bfm.admin.ch/bfm/en/home/themen/einreise.html).
They must apply for the visa as soon as possible at the Swiss Embassy in their home country.
Students are required to obtain Swiss health insurance unless their current policy is accepted by the Swiss authorities.
Living expenses depend very much on the individual student. The University provides however an approximate value for international Students.
